  • Cementitious materials in drinking water applications according to ÖNORM B5014/Part 2
  • Rubber products according to elastomer guideline
  • Plastic products according to KTW guideline (UBA Germany)
  • Coatings according to coating guideline (UBA Germany)
  • Lubricants according to lubricant guideline (UBA Germany)
  • cementitious materials in drinking water applications according to DVGW Code of Practice W 347
  • Propagation of microorganisms on materials in the drinking water sector according to EN 16421, formerly DVGW Worksheet W 270

UBA assessment basis and ÜA mark

A lot has happened in 2019 in the area of regulations for drinking water contact materials. In both Germany and Austria, the principle of voluntary fitness testing has been extended to include the component of legally binding requirements. For example, the Federal Environment Agency in Germany (UBA) has published a new assessment basis for testing and confirming the suitability of components or materials in contact with drinking water. Almost at the same time, an amendment to the new version of the Building Materials List 2015 came into force in Austria, which stipulates that products in contact with drinking water must be marked with the installation symbol “ÜA”.
